Try it in 5 minutes

1 min read · 4 clips

Four things to try on your own, in the browser: nothing to install, nobody else needed, about a minute each. Open Saydi in a second tab and follow along.

1

Hear yourself speak Vietnamese

Say two sentences in English. A second later they appear in Vietnamese, and Saydi reads them aloud in a natural Vietnamese voice.

  1. Go to Translate One-Way. The left side says Any Language; you never tell Saydi what you speak.
  2. Set Translate to to Vietnamese and turn on Voice next to it.
  3. Click Start Talking, allow the microphone, and talk. Then switch to any other language: Saydi supports more than 60 and keeps adding more.

Play both sides of a conversation

No second person needed. Say one sentence in English, then one in Vietnamese: Saydi recognises which language it is hearing, puts each sentence in its own column and translates it into the other, with no button to press in between.

  1. Go to Translate Two-Way. The top bar shows English and Vietnamese by default; change either to any language you like.
  2. Click Start Talking and say a sentence in English. It appears in the English column, with the translation in the other column.
  3. Now say something in the other language, even a phrase you learned on holiday. It lands in that column and is translated back into English.

Subtitle a video you do not understand

Any YouTube video, webinar or online course, in any language, gets live subtitles in yours, even when the video has none.

  1. In another tab, open a video in a language you do not know and let it play.
  2. In Saydi, set Translate to to your language. Choose System / Tab, pick the video tab and tick Share audio.
  3. Click Start Talking. Subtitles appear as the video plays.

System / Tab picks the video tab; subtitles follow the video

Get a summary of what you just said

Everything you tried is saved. Saydi writes a short summary of it: the topic, the key points, any tasks you mentioned. Read it in any language.

  1. Click Done to end the session.
  2. Open History in the left column and click the session you just made.
  3. Read the AI Summary on the right. Click Regenerate to get it in another language.

Prefer to try it on your phone?

The Saydi app does the same, with your phone held between you and the other person.

Nothing showing up?

Almost always it is the wrong microphone or the browser was never allowed to use it. See Troubleshooting.
