Zoom, Teams and Google Meet calls
1 min read
Situation
A video call with people who do not share a language: a weekly sync with a remote team, a vendor call, a customer support session, a job interview. Saydi works alongside any meeting application because it listens to the audio coming out of your computer.
Benefits
- Live subtitles of what the other side says, translated, in a window next to the call.
- What you say is translated as well; share your screen and the others can read it.
- A written record of the whole call, useful for action items and for colleagues who joined late.
Mode and setup
Use Two-Way on the website or in the Chrome extension. Step-by-step instructions per application: Teams, Google Meet and Zoom.
- Click the microphone button at the bottom left and choose the audio source: System / Tab if you only need to translate the other side, Both if you speak as well and want your own words in the transcript.
- Keep the Saydi window next to your meeting application, or click Mini window to float it over the call.
- To let the others see the translation, share your screen and show the Saydi window.
Notes
- Use headphones. Without them Saydi hears the other side twice: once from the call and once from your speakers.
- Ask participants to unmute one at a time. Overlapping speech on a call is harder to process than in a room.
- Enter names and project codes in AI Context before the call.
After the call
A transcript of the call in both languages in History. Copy the Translation only version into the meeting notes.
