Welcome to Saydi ("we," "our," or "us"). Saydi is a real-time voice translation and transcription platform that enables instant communication across languages. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information when you use our Speech-to-Text (STT), One-Way Translation (OWT), and Two-Way Translation (TWT) services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information

  • Email address and display name (via Google Sign-In or email registration)
  • Profile picture (if provided through Google authentication)
  • Subscription tier and credit balance information

Audio Data

  • Voice input processed through our real-time transcription and translation services
  • Audio is streamed and processed in real-time; we do not permanently store raw audio recordings

Usage Data

  • Credit usage across STT, OWT, and TWT services (measured in seconds/minutes)
  • Session history and transcription records (if you choose to save them)
  • Language preferences and settings

Payment Information

  • Payment processing is handled securely by Lemon Squeezy
  • We do not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment details on our servers

4. Audio Data Processing and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Your privacy during voice processing is important to us. Your audio data is collected via your device's microphone (after you grant explicit permission) and processed as follows:

  • Sharing with Third Parties (Deepgram and Google): To provide real-time transcription and translation services, your voice input is sent directly to our third-party AI providers, Deepgram (for speech-to-text) and Google (for translation).
  • Equivalent Protection Commitment: We confirm that our third-party AI providers (Deepgram and Google) provide a level of personal data protection equivalent to and on par with the standards outlined in this Privacy Policy.
  • Real-time processing: Audio data is only streamed and processed instantly to return text results.
  • No audio retention: Saydi, Deepgram, and Google do not permanently store your raw audio recordings and do not use your data to train their AI models.
  • Transcription storage: Text transcriptions are only saved on our servers if you explicitly choose to save a session.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS), secure authentication via Firebase, and protected API endpoints. Your account is protected by JWT-based authentication tokens that expire regularly.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with the following parties for specific purposes and confirm that they provide privacy protection equivalent to or on par with ours:

  • Third-party AI Providers (Deepgram, Google): We share your audio/voice data with Deepgram and Google exclusively for the purpose of providing AI voice processing and translation services. As committed, these providers do not store your data and provide privacy protections equivalent to Saydi's policy.
  • Lemon Squeezy: To process payments securely.
  • Firebase/Google: To provide account authentication services.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your account data and transcription history
  • Delete your saved transcriptions at any time
  • Cancel your subscription and request account deletion
  • Export your transcription data
  • Update your account information

8. Demo/Trial Usage

For users trying our demo without an account, we collect minimal data (IP address for rate limiting). Demo sessions have limited duration and no data is permanently stored.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
